Ghiglia Image Featured on Nik Software Catalog

Nik Software recently decided to use an image of mine for the cover of their current product brochure. Nik Software is the recognized leader in digital photographic filter development and produces award winning technology and plug-in products for digital imaging and photography professionals. They also hooked me up with their full suite of software. It is truly amazing and it is really expanding my post production creativity. The Aerialist added to Print Gallery

I have been spending a bit of time going through some older images trying to find ones that suit my prints website. When I came across this one I couldn't believe I had let it slip through the cracks for so long. This image of Oceanside, California was taken in October of 2007 during one of the largest and most devastating wildfires in Southern California's recent history. Strong Fall Santa Ana winds coupled with a steady round of South swell made for a very eerie combination as smoke from the fires blew out to sea. I shot several images that I am proud of on this day, but this one really stood out for the most obvious reason. The Aerialist was putting on a show.
